WOMEN SAIL FOR RUSSIA
“PEACE AMBASSADORS” LED BY SCHOOL-TEACHER (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 12.2 p.m. LONDON, Tuesday. Fifty Labourite women from the coalfields, the textile areas, and domestic circles sailed for Russia, travelling as “ambassadors of peace,” in furtherance of the Russian disarmament proposals, aimed at the abolition of war. The leader is Mrs. Katherine Duncan, a London school-teacher. The women will remain three weeks, and will inspect the Red Army.
