ABSENT APPRENTICE
COSTLY NEGLECT OF WORK (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Tuesday. An apprentice. Nelson Mayes, was proceeded against in the Court to-day, before Mr. F. * a ' S.M., for breaking the term* of his prenticeship contract by being without leave. Defendant did no* v Mr. Wilson, inspector of factory said Mayes was apprenticed to Mr. E. Jones, cabinetmakrr. Hamilton, years ago. I'p till June last no trouble. He then began to a- ■ himself front work and had since what he liked. In June he worhea five days only. _, inDort of Evidence was given in supp®r\ the inspector's statement by emu Edward Jones.
