BANDMASTER’S TRANSFER

Lieutenant E. Tregilgas, who for the past IS months has been conductor of the Auckland Artillery Band, left last evening for Wanganui, where he will take charge of the Wanganui Garrison Band. On Monday members of the Artillery Band said farewell to Mr. Tregilgas and tributes to his ability as a musician and conductor were paid. Speakers referred to the departure of Mr. Tregilgas as a severe loss to the band.
