Tramway Worker Improving. Stephen Gough, who was injured by a motor-lorry while working on the tram lines at the Great South Road terminus on Monday evening, is recovering satisfactorily. Hurt by Fall From Horse. —Serious head injuries were received by Robert Kennedy, a farm labourer, aged 21, when he fell from a horse yesterday afternoon. Kennedy, who is employed by the Three Kings Dairy at Mount Roskill, was taken to hospital and is now in a fairly serious condition. Watersider Injured. —While working in the hold of the Kawatiri at Western Wharf yesterday, E. J. Buttres, a single man aged 46, living at 54 Cook Street, was injured by a coal basket which hie him on the head. He treated at the hospital and then allowed to go home. The Disabled Waitomo. —The Union Company’s steamer Kaitoke, which is towing the disabled steamer Waitomo to Auckland, reported by wireless to the Auckland office of the Union Company yesterday that she expects to arrive on Friday. The vessels had been delayed by rough weather.
