VALUATION OBJECTIONS
ASSESSMENT COURT'S RULINGS Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., presided over a sitting of the Assessment Court in Auckland yesterday, \vhen objections to the valuation of properties in Devonport, Takapuna, Waiheke and Manukau County were heard. Mr. E. Allen acted as assessor for the Valuation Department, and Mr. J. P. McPhail and Mr. C. Atkinson as assessors for local bodies. The following objections were upheld and reductions made as indicated:—Manukau County: Mangere Riding, George Speakman, two properties from £1,600 to £1,440, and from £1.770 to Jg 1.670; I*apatoetoe Riding, Malcolm Kenneth McCathie, from £4,015 to £3,655; Ernest Jeffs, from £1,735 to £1,615. Northcote Borough: Mrs. Alice Mason, from £935 to” £SSS.
