ENGLISH LEAGUE TEAM TO PLAY S. AUCKLAND
FpHE following is the English Rugby League team chosen to meet South Auckland at Taupiri to- morrow: Fullback: Gowers. Threequarters: Frodsham, Brough, Oliver. Five-eighth: Gwynne. Halfbacks: Bryn Evans, Billo Rees. Forwards: Williams, Dolan, Bowen, Halfpenny, Thompson, Young. The team is to leave Auckland for Taupiri by the Tauranga express at 8.35 o’clock to-morrow morning and will return to this city the same evening to prepare for the first test, which takes place at Carlaw Park on Saturday. LEAGUERS AT HIS MAJESTY’S r PHE visiting English League 1 football team will be the guests of J. C. Williamson, Ltd., at the performance of 4< A Cuckoo in the Nest” at His Majesty's Theatre this evening.
