AT THE SIGN of THE PENNANT

LITTLE WORK ON BOATS ,
The continued series of wet weekends has precluded the possibility of much work being done on boats. Overhaul work is practically at a standstill at all hauling-out sites. The last boat was brought ashore at the “Vic’s,” but beyond that there is nothing to report. As far as can be ascertained the heavy blow on Sunday caused* no damage to craft.

GESTURE OF AMITY A friendly gesture that should go a long way toward removing the bickerings and pin-prickings that have characterised the relations of the two Manukau boating clubs for some years was made last Wednesday evening by the Manukau Yacht and Motor-boat Club. Instructed by the club to endeavour to pave the way for a better “understanding,” three representatives called upon members of the Manukau Crusing Qlub. The resultant discussion should help to clear the air and make for harmonious working in place of the former discord.
