INTER-SCHOOLS GAME

HAMILTON V. NEW PLYMOUTH (From Our Oivn Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Sunday) A crowd of over 3,000 spectators witnessed the game between Hamilton High School and New Plymouth High School at Rugby Park, Hamilton, on Saturday, when Hamilton was defeated by 25 points to 5. The game provided an excellent exhibition of the code. In the first half the game was fairly even, the scores at the interval being New Plymouth 9, Hamilton 5, but later the superior weight and combination of the visitors told its tale. The game was fast and spectacular from start to finish. The heavier New Plymouth forwards held the advantage in the scrums, and their speedy backs, who handled well, gradually wore down the Hamilton defence.

Fookes (3), Ekdalil, McCallum and Watson scored for the visitors. Ekdahl and Brown converted tries, and Fookes potted a goal. Innes scored and converted a try for Hamilton. Mr. S. A. Mannering was referee.
