HOCKEY ENTERTAINMENT

The entertainment given by the Paterangi hockey girls proved a great success. Mr. C. J. Spiers was stage manager. The opening item was a hockey chorus by the girls in costume, followed by a monologue, “A Visit to the Denist,” Miss G. Ryburn; farce, “Dr. Cure All,” Misses N. Rhodes, M. Macky and K- Macky ; song, Mr. Bert Spiers; dumb farce, “A Love Affair,” Misses M. Macky, Z. Bell and G. Rybfirn; pianoforte solo. Miss Rene Spiers; humorous recitation. Miss G. Ryburn; instrumental selection (violin, cornet and piccolo), the Hollister family; mannequin parade (displaying the latest Parisian models), hockey girls; song, Mr. Bert Spiers; band selection, Paterangi hockey girls, under the capable direction oC Bandmaster K. Germann. Mrs. W. G. Macky played the accompaniments.
