AGED PENSIONER’S FATE

(From Our Ovjn Correspondent.) WHANGAREI', To-day. An old-aged pensioner, Thomas Woods, an inmate of the Old People’s Home, was drowned in the mineral baths at Kamo Springs on Saturday. At the inquest it was stated that deceased slipped into the bath when attempting to get a bucket of water. Contrary to regulations, he was unaccompanied. A verdict of found drowned was returned. Mr. Woods, who had been at the home only three months, was a single' man of 59. As far as is known he had no relatives in the Dominion.
