MAORI LEAVES INJURED FRIEND ON ROADSIDE
thrown by horse DEATH IN HOSPITAL Press Association GISBORNE, To-day. Heremara Tahumatai was found on the l-oad near Whangara on Saturday evening with a fractured skull, having evidently been thrown from his horse. He died in hospital yesterday. Another Maori with whom the deceased had been riding reported the mishap to a roadman, and then galloped away. He has not since been located.
