JOBS FOR 127 FOUND
AUCKLAND UNEMPLOYED A slight increase in unemployment is shown by figures supplied by the Labour Department this morning, but more men have been placed in work. Men numbering 816 have registered las unemployed compared with i last week. Those classed as fit for heavy work number 637. and those I suitable only for light work 179, com- | pared with 639 and 164 respectively the I preceding week. I During tho week 127 men were placed in cmplyoment, compared with 1 66 for the -week ending July 21.
