The shy-eyed rabbits scuttled through the grass, And “Have you heard our Little Lady § pass j In the white dawn?” they cried. , I shook my head and sighed, “I have not heard your Little Lady pass.” J A gay thrush cocked a saucy little * eye, - 1 And “Have you seen our Lady passing ( by?” 1 Full musically he trilled. > With sorrow I was filled. < “I have not seen her Ladyship.” said 1. 1 Then every bird and beast began to i sing. “Thou hast not seen our Lady of the •< Spring? s Oh fie! oh fie!” they cried. t A daffodil I spied, Cup filled with dew.
