Opium Seized.—Yesterday a Wellington Customs officer reported*having seized some opium in the possession of a Chinese member of the crew of the oil tanker Ranella, -which is discharging oil at the Burnham Wf'.arf. — P.A. Poultry Award. —An added award, made at the Auckland Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club’s show, was for the best utility bird. The special was won by li. F. Winstone’s White Wyandotte hen.
