Government Boards Wanted

THE quiet tone registered on ’Change over the past week continues. Only a very limited volume of business is recorded.

Kittle life is shown in the banking section. Commercials are slightly easier, but the market, generally, in this section merely appears to be suffering from a week-end slackness and a healthy undercurrent Is recorded in the market. More were offering at 19s 3d this morning, but buyers had withdrawn.

In the miscellaneous section Lewis Lady, Ltd.’s are active on a market registering:, if anything, a firming tendency. Gear Meats are firmer and buyers at 40s fail to draw sellers. N.Z. Paper Mills show an upward tendency and buyers moved up 3d this morning without drawing sellers into the market. Taranaki Oils are practically neglected, with buyers in at Bs. The market for Government bonds and stocks continues in good tone, with sellers hard to locate on present levels.
