UNGLAND'S best scrum pans out at well over half a ton in weight. Sullivan, England’s last line, besides being a great linelinder, is recognised as the world’s greatest goal-kick. Ellaby, wing-threequarter, is acclaimed as one of the finest scoring men ever seen in Australia in either League or Rugby. Bentham is the hooking star —one of the cleverest England has produced. Parkin broke a thumb early in the tour and did not play again till July 14, when he led the Englishmen to victory in the second and deciding test. In the second test, the English forwards averaged over a stone a man heavier than the Australian six. The “S) r dney Guardian” says of this match: “With the ball at toe, the English forwards were superb. England’s display was. probably the cleverest exhibition of dribbling, foot-passing and ball-control ever witnessed in Australia by Rugby players.”
