The United States Government lias notified the Nationalist Government of China of its acceptance of the latter’s proposal for the negotiation of a tariff treaty granting China full autonomy. The Secretary of State, Mr. F. B. Kellogg, stipulated that the United States Government should look to the Nationalists for the protection of American residents. —A.P.A.-U.S.
