TUDOR, REMUERA

TWO BIG PICTURES Emil Jannings, the great Continental actor, will be seen in “The Way of All Flesh,” at the Tudor Theatre. Remuera, this evening. When the story opens some 20 years ago, August Schilling is the cashier of the Germanian Bank in Milwaukee. The thickly-bearded Mr. Schilling lives a wholesome life, happy with his wif» and six children. This placid life is broken by a business trip. It is while he is away from home that he succumbs to temptation and goes the way of all flesh. Belle Bennett and Phyllis Haver are the supporting players. “Bringing Up Father,” which will also be shown, is a merry comedy of domestic wrangling starring Farrell McDonald and Polly Moran, in a picture based on the famous newspaper cartoons.

“The Devil’s Mask,” John Gilbert’s next starring vehicle for Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer, will be directed by Victor Seastrom. The forthcoming picture is a screen version of Jacob Wauserman’s novel, “The Masks of Erwin Reiner.”
