WILKINS PREPARES SOON
SOUTH POLAR FLIGHT THINKS AMUNDSEN DEAD (United P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) Received Noon. WASHINGTON, Wednesday. Sir George Wilkins and Dieutenant Carl Eielson expect to start the preparations for their South Polar flight in about a month. Sir George has left here for the West Coast. Lieutenant Eielson will proceed to Minneapolis. Both expressed a belief that Captain Amundsen, who set out to rescue the Italia survivors, is dead.
