BOY TREATED FAIRLY
SENTENCE TO STAND COURT DISMISSES APPEAL Press Association. CHRISTCPIURCH, To-day. Robert William Allen, aged 18, who was sentenced to two years at the Borstal Institute on charges of receiving stolen goods, applied to the magistrate, Mr. E. D. Mosley, this morning for a rehearing, alleging that he had been urged to plead guilty previously by a detective when he was really innocent. Detective-Sergeant Young said that ho strongly resented the allegation. It was entirely unfounded. The boy had been well treated by the detective staff. After the hearing of the evidence the Bench dismissed the application, saying that the boy had received fair treatment, and had erecivecl no injury whatever.
