CHINESE FINED £2O
IMMIGRATION PERMIT EXCEEDED Tick Leong, aged 26, was fined £2O at the Police Court yesterday for remaining in New Zealand nine months longer than was allowed by the terms of his temporary immigration permit. A deportation order was made. The gardener who had been employing Leong near Patea, sent an offer through a Wanganui solicitor that he would give him work for a further six months and then pay his fare home. The offer was not accepted.
