CANVASSERS’ FRAUD

MADE BOGUS ORDERS Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. Charges of having obtained money by fraud from the firm employing them were laid against Gregory Gordon Gerald Hainsworth and John McCormick in the Magistrate’s Court today. Both men pleaded guilty. They had been employed as canvassers for picture enlargements, and had obtained! money by putting in bogus orders. They were admitted to probation for 12 months.
