WAIKATO RISES QUICKLY
BIGGEST INCREASE FOR YEARS (Special xo THE SUN) MERCER, Tuesday. The Waikato River has risen very rapidly as a result of the heavy rains. It rose nearly 18 inches during last night, which is said to be one of the highest rises in such a short time for about 20 years.
