DISABLED WAITOMO

KAITOKE TO HELP LONG TOW TO AUCKLAND The disabled steamer Waitonio is expected to be picked up early tomorrow morning by the collier Kaitoke, which left Westport yesterday at 3 a.m. The disabled vessel will be towed to Auckland. As the Kaitoke is only partly loaded with coal, she should be in good trim for towing, and given fine weather, should take about five days, at an average speed of six knots. There should be no difficulty in the Kaitoke finding the Waitomo, as both vessels will be in wireless communication with each other. Captain F. L. G. Jaunay is in command of the Waitomo and Captain J. Rankine is in charge of the Kaitoke.
