MOTORISTS CHARGED
BREACHES OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS HEAVY POLICE LIST Motorists who had offended against the traffic regulations were charged at the Police and Magistrate’s Court this morning. The police list was particularly heavy, 23 motorists being charged with speeding, and 37 with unsatisfactory lighting on their vehicles. CITY CASES For dangerous driving J. Mudgway and C. Dent, service car drivers, who were driving their cars in suburban districts at 44 to 40 miles per hour respectively, were each fined £4 and costs. E. J. Crowther was fined £4; N. T. Hanson was fined £2; F. G. Wain and C. A. Paul were each fined £l. Failing to obey traffic officers cost H. Barton, F. Rhodes, W. Onsley and J. Muir £1 and costs. , . _ - Other offences resulted in fines of £1 being imposed on A. Flaxman, H. C. Puckey and N. Hughes; A. H. J. Parker, S. Cavalier, L. Christian, A. V. Swales, N. A. McCulloch, R. E. Petrie, H. C. Puckey, L. A. Wood, H. Priestley, G. Kermade and J. Paton were each fined 10s and costs. POLICE PROSECUTIONS For speeding P. W. Gardner and T. W. Robinson were fined £3; A. H. S. Lamb, E F Lisk, T. B. Stewart- and H. \V. Wilson were'fined £1 10s; R. A. Colyer, T. Giles, J. C. Mackenzie, R. L. Paterson, J N. Shackelford and W. A. Scarfe were fined £1; Trevor Davis, Harold Gibbons. R T. Geraghty, A. T. Newdick, W. A. Phillips, F. W. Rout and John Watson were fined 10s. ~ , Breaches of parking regulations resulted In fines of 10s being imposed on 1. u. Cooper, Reta Goodman, J. fa. Hirst, J. U. Hannah, C. Kelly and M. H. Walsh. For faults in their lighting equipment R S. Allen and E. G. Maynell were fined £l‘* g. Bryant, Martha Conavan, J. W. Forrest, H. J- Gillmore, S. Hayward, T. W. Hosking, E. J. Hogan, IC H. Hawes, R. C. King, S. Leighton, C. P. Melgren, J Mulloney. G. Ohms, A. J. Parker, R. r' S. Allen and E. G. Maynell were fined V Slone and L. A. Stead were fined 10s: H. Dwyer, H. Malcolm, R. J. Roberts and E Rooke were ordered to pay costs only. For other offences W. F. Handley was fined £2: and George H. Robinson and Desmond Kelly were each fined 10s.
