MR. JORDAN WILL HAVE TO FIGHT ELECTION
UNITED PARTY’S PLANS
CANDIDATE FOR MANUKAU Mr. J. W. Jordan, M.P., during his absence in Canada as representative of the New Zealand Labour Party at the Empire Parliamentary Union’s Congress, will find that he has opposition for the Manukau seat. There was a suggestion that there would be no contest for the seat at the general election, but the United Party intends to make its bid for the seat.
Mr. W. T. Kells Mason, one of the first United Party candidates, will go to the poll, and it is stated that his candidature will, under no circumstances, be withdrawn.
