The Maungakiekie ladies’ championships have been arranged for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday- of next week. A medal round will be played in conjunction with the qualifying round, a bogey competition on Wednesday, and Canadian foursomes on Thursday, all additional to the championship. TEAM CHOSEN Hamilton's team to play Titirangi at Hamilton on Saturday is as follows: L. V. Bellingham, W. C. Wynne, H. Wiggins, H. Gillies, R. Guy, B. Wake, J. M. Horton, W. D. Ross, D. Gerrard, G. S. Crump, H. W. Fisher, A. T. Atkins, T. Simpson, W. W. Horton, C. Sutcliff, P. Harkness. Emergency: R. Worley. WAITEMATA CLUB The first round of the Waitemata Golf Club’s championships was played under good conditions. Following are the results:—Seniors: O’Connor beat Prim.e, 5 and 2; Wilson beat Hogan, 1 upf? Parker beat O’Connell, 3 and 2; Layzell beat Grahame, 4 and 3. Juniors: Walsh beat McLeod, 4 and 3; Gooding beat Gabites, 6 and 5; Whitley beat Dryden, 4 and 3; Clark beat Jones, 7 and 5.
The best cards returned for the medal round were: P. Layzell, 73—6, 67; J. Clark, 84—16, 68; M. O’Connor, SO—ll, 69; H. Jones, 92—20, 72; J. M. Alison, 94—20, 74; G. Jackson, 87—13, 74.
