VAUDEVILLE AND PICTURES “Somebody’s Son,” which will be shown, this evening at the Empire Theatre, is a dramatic story with an all-star cast, including Pauline Caron, William Hall Davies, and Willy Fritsch. The thought of becoming a countess was no obstacle in the path of Patricia, daughter of a wealthy ranch owner in Texas, and after overcoming the misgivings of her father, she marries Count Sternhoe, who takes her, together with a handsome dowry, to his home at Castle Sternhoe. An interesting and varied vaudeville programme will also be presented, including Ophir Rees, singer of catchy songs: “Kards,” in card manipuation; Jack Dale, on xylophone find Swanee whistle; Depiston Sisiers. vocalists: La Militaries, dancers; and Mavis O’Day, soubrette.
