EXPRESS HELD UP
The Auckland - Tauranga express, which left Auckland this morning at 8.35 o’clock, was held up at Mangaiti. Flood water covered the rails for a
considerable stretch and it was inadvisable to send the train through.
Arrangements have been made to tranship the passengers who will be met at the other end of the flooded sector by a train from Tauranga.
Unless the water subsides to-day the whole of tho train arrangements to and from tho Bay of Plenty will be dislocated.
