THREE ON ONE

PILLION-RIDERS CONVICTED (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Monday. Three young men, who rode on one motor-cycle, were not aware that they were breaking the new motor regulations, which provide that only two may ride on one machine, and as a result they had to appear before Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M., in the Hamilton Magistrate’s Court to-day. The owner of the machine was Adolph Schmitt, who pleaded guilty. It was stated that Schmitt and two other young men, Harold Tracey Guilford and Ernest Desmond Gratten, were seen pillion riding on a motor-cycle. Schmitt was fined 10s and his companions were convicted and discharged.
