DISCHARGE OPPOSED

BANKRUPT ONLY SIX WEEKS (From Our Oxen Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. George Cornfoot, a farmer, of Hamilton, applied for his discharge from bankruptcy in the Supreme Court to•lay. He was adjudged bankrupt only six weeks ago. Mr. J. H. Robertson, official assignee, opposed the discharge, as he considered it too hurried. He said that Mr. Goulter, a creditor for a large sum, had wired in answer to a telegram sent by the assignee that he had received no notification of the application. Mr. Matts, for bankrupt, said the haste due to a private reason. The judge adjourned the application until next court, remarking that the assignee probably wanted to make further inquiries.
