Tno largest meeting of members o. tae Independent Order of Oddfellows :n the Dargaville district took placf on the occasion of the visit of Bro. w. Simmons, Grand Master of New Zealand. A specially convened meeting was held at the bandroom. when ter Sills. N.G. of the Loloma Rebekah Lodge, presided. The Grand Master was officially weicomed, and lie spoke on matters of uaterest to the order. The same welcome was later accorded by the Prid€ W Dargaville Lodge. Bro. 'Williamson, o: the Northern Wairoa Lodge, presidio?Subsequently the Grand Master was entertained at a social in the Muni' 1 * pal Buildings, where he gave a general resume of the work of the ord«r throughout New Zealand. A toast list was honoured. Bro. Siinnio congratulated the various lodges in tndistrict on the great progress maflby them during the past few years.
The resignation of Mr. J. Pway as secretary to the Dargavr*Jersey Cattle Club and Industrial Association was received with regre at the annual meeting. Mr. H. Lie.has consented to take up the positio
