AUCKLAND TOBACCO
EXPERIMENT AT TE ATATU ASSOCIATION FORMED Te Atatu settlers have decided to make tobacco-growing experiments in their own district, and 20 acres of land are to bo planted. At a meeting held on Saturday evening, a Tobacco Culture Association was formed, after a discussion had been held with the Government tobacco instructor, Mr. Lowe. Arrangements will be made with nurserymen in the district to grow the plants, and if tho experiments are successful a community kiln will be built for curing purposes. The business administration of the concern will be left with an executive committee.
