SURVEYORS’ REGISTRATION
TWO AMENDMENT BILLS WELLINGTON, Friday. The second reading of the Surveyors’ Institute Amendment Bill was moved by the Minister of Lands, Hon. A. L>. McLeod, in the House of Representatives this evening. In discussing the Bill, members dealt principally with the cases of men who had been refused registration as surveyors mainly because their studies were interfered with by war services. Members asked that their cases should be considered sympathetically. The Bill was read a second time on the voices. The Minister of Lands then moved the second reading of the Surveyors* Registration Bill. He said he would refer the Bill to the Lands Committee, before which those who considered they had been improperly shut out from registration could go and give evidence. The Bill was read a second time and referred to the Lands Committec. Bert Marshall's for your “Borsalino.”
