At the Beresford Street Congregational Church the Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher will preach in the morning on ‘ Christ, and the need of to-day.” In the evening, at the Prince Edward Theatre, he will give the final chapters of “A Robber Chief’s Vow.” * * * Canon Percival James will preach at the morning and evening services at St. Mary’s, Parnell. After evensong Mr. Edgar Randall will give an organ recital. At St. Matthew’s, Wellesley Street, the Rev. Charles Chandler will preach in the morning. At evensong Canon Grant Cowen will conduct the service. * * * Under the auspices of the Order of the Star Hr. J. J. van der Leeuw, L.L.D. (Leyden), will lecture on “KrishnaMurti: The World Teacher.” The lecture will be held in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall at 7 p.m. * * * There will be a young people’s service conducted by Mrs. Vaile at the Xewton Congregational Church in the morning. In the evening the Rev. George Heigh way will preach. * * * The series of special addresses in the Unity Hall, Upper Queen Street, will be continued at 3 p.m., to-morrow when Mr. R. A. Laidlaw will speak on the text, “He that would save his life shall lose it.” * * * At the Edendale Presbyterian Church to-morrow the Rev. Fraser Barton will preach in the morning and the Rev. W. Gilmour, 8.A., in the evening. At the Somervell Church the Rev. J. Pattison will speak both in the morning and in the evening. * * * Services will be held as usual at the Associated Churches of Christ in Ponsonby Road, Dominion Road, Richmond, Onehunga, Devonport, Avondale, Point Chevalier, Mount Albert. * * * Startling facts regarding the unemployment in Auckland will be given by the Rev. C. G. Scrimgeour at the Methodist Central Mission to-morrow evening. The evening service at the France Street branch will be conducted by Mr. Sussex. * * * The Rev. W. Gilmour will be the speaker at the service at the Y.M.C.A. on Sunday afternoon. * * * The First Church of Christ. Scientist, will hold services as usual tomorrow. A testimony meeting will be held on Wednesday evening. A Church parade of the Kakamai Company of Girl Guides will be held at the Grange Road Baptist Church tomorrow morning. In the evening the Rev. F. Worley of the China Inland Mission, will speak. E. Batts and Mr. C. Reay, two Baptist College students, will conduct the morning and evening services respectively at the Royal Oak Baptist Church to-morrow. * * * A lecture entitled, -The Educational Value 6f Spiritualism,” will be delivered by Mr. S.
