Nancy Carroll, former musical comedy actress, plays opposite Jack Holt in “The Water Hole,’” based on a Zane Grey novel., * * * “The Milkman,” ail original story by Adele Comandini, has been purchased by First National Pictures, Inc., and will soon be screened, starring Charlie Murray. * * * The finishing touches are being put on “The Vanishing Pioneer,” the Zane Grey western picture, at the Paramount studio. * * * “Heart To Heart,” First National studio’s latest picture, will find Thelma Todd in the part of a smalltown belle. Mary Astor, Lloyd Hughes and Louise Fazenda are also featured. Will Rogers’s Beverly estate was used recently by Jack Holt and his Paramount cast for exterior scenes in Water Hole.” Clara Bow’s next starring picture, “The Fleet’s In,” will have many scenes taken in San Francisco, according to present plans of Paramount Famous Lasky.
