MISS BEATRICE ELLIOTT

CONCERT CHAMBER TO-NIGHT A glimpse of our advertising columns will disclose the magnitude of the programme to be submitted for the approval of patrons of the Concert Chamber this evening by Miss Beatrice Elliott. The programme is a very generous one and should satisfy even the most critical. Miss Elliott has been abroad for the past four years, and in that period has given hundreds of recitals in America and Canada, in both of which countries she earned unstinted praise. It remains now for her to recapture the hearts of the Dominion’s music-loving public. Miss Elliott will be assisted by Mr. Leo \Vhittaker at the piano, and Miss Molly Wright, ’cellist. Booking arrangements are advertised. PHOEBE MARIE HOLMES FREE PUBLIC LECTURES A series of important lectures by the noted world lecturer, teacher and metaphysician, Phoebe Marie Holmes, is at present being delivered in The Temple, Pitt and Wellington Streets. At 11 a.m. on Sunday her subject will be “The Magic Power of Praise,” and at 8.15 p.m. “The True Part Played in Life by the Sub-conscious Mind.” Lectures will also be given both in the afternoon and evening of Monday and Tuesday next, on topics such as “The Magic Power of One’s Hidden Self.” and “The Soul’s Sincere Desire.” Dates of further lectures are advertised. Admission is free.
