GREEN MILL, MILFORD
“PRIVATE LIFE OF HELEN OF TROY” One of the greatest love stories of the world’s early legends or myths has been filmed and the picture, “The Private Life of Helen of Troy,” will be shown at the Green Mill Theatre, Milford, this evening. The beautiful Helen, having returned home after her elopement with Paris, frets about the odd ideas of her
high-minded daughter as does any flapper’s mother of to-day. Menelaos, her not too intelligent husband, is constantly in a turmoil over the changing fashions of the world and eternally finds himself in a wrath because his family retainers —in common with so many cherished servants of to-day—insist upon advising him upon personal affairs. “The Private Life of Helen of Troy” as a picture retains all the humour and satire of the book. Maria Corda, Lewis Stone and Riccardo Cortez share honours in the three featured roles.
