COMPANIES AMALGAMATE (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. Following protracted negotiations between representatives of the National Dairy Association and the executive of the South Auckland Dairy Companies, an agreement has been reached between the Waikato and Thames Valley Co-operative Calf BiProducts Company and the executive, whereby the company will receive the support of dairy companies in its operations for the forthcoming season. It was considered by the conference that no good purpose would be served with two companies in the same territory The Bi-Products Company has agreed to pay the highest economic spot cash price for calves at the farmers’ gate, and guarantees to provide service as far jnorth as Paparoa. None but strong calves will be forwarded to the freezing works. Through the element of competition it is considered farmers will derive the fullest benefit.
