EUCHARIST PROCESSION AN AMAZING LETTER CABINET MINISTER THREATENED An extraordinary letter, threatening to blow up Parliament House and several Ministers’ and officials’ homes, was received by the New South Wales Chief Secretary, Mr. Bruntnell, last week. The amazing communication, which threatened that, if the Eucharistic Congress procession is held “bombs will fly,” was refered to the police. Allegations of graft were also made against several prominent police officials. “Our emissaries are in the civil service,” states the letter. “They know what is doing. They pass on their information. Yours of the 4th of the stli A.T.F. Address, Somewhere in Australia.” Included in the list of places which, it is threatened, will be blown up, were: Parliament House. Mr. Brunt nell’s residence, when he is at home, and the houses occupied by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mitchell, Inspector Pattinson, and Detective Geldart. The letter was typewritten, and apparently copies had been made for distribution to other public men ! | ! j
