HEENEY IS DETERMINED MESSAGE TO GISBORNE Press Association. A message has been picked up from Jack Heouey. brother of Tom Heeney. stating that the latter is now a different fighter altogether. “1 got quite a shock at the improvement in him,** said Jack. “He was always pretty fast, but now he is like lightning, and hits like a steamhammer. When his blows land they sting. "He is quicker, both in attack and in defence, and is mighty hard to hit at all. Even if you do land, you do not hurt him. lie is as hard as a brick wall/* Heeney sends a message to the people of Gisborne, saving he is pretty fit. and that he is not going to dis- - “I am right after that title/’ he says, “and 1 hope the next news will be that 1 am bringing the championship home to Gisborne/’
