MATAMATA WOMAN FORCED TO FILE BANKRUPTCY EXPLAINED (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. A meeting of the creditors in the bankrupt estate of Kathleen Gust, a j boardinghouse-keeper. of Matamata, i was held to-day. The total debts ; amounted to £257. Book debts, the ; only assets, are estimated to produce j £ 56 9s. : In a statement bankrupt said that a judgment obtained against her by the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company for £ 185 was responsible for her failure. ; She entered business with no capital in ! 1926, but had paid her way until the j judgment was given against her for a j debt contracted by her husband. | The meeting adjourned until this ! afternoon.
