I WINTER EXHIBITION

CROWDS ATTRACTED VISITORS FROM THAMES Excursionists arrived from Thames to-day by boat to attend the Auckland Winter Show, which is still attracting considerable numbers of visitors. Tho attendance yesterday totalled 12.000, and included nearly 2,000 school children escorted by teachers. Tho gate takings, amounting to £243, were slightly less than those for.the corresponding day last year. There was another picture programme this afternoon, and free pictures will also be shown this evening. The Fort Auckland Band, playing outside, will be still another attraction. To-night the pupils of Miss Stoddart will give a dancing display. Last evening’s attractions included a gymnastic display by members of the • M.C.A., and Miss O’Connor and partner in a ballroom dancing demonsrtation.
