Hikurangi Coals Still Rising
A HEALTHY tone is registered ou ’Change, with considerable activity noted in the market for several shares.
XeW Zealands hold the centre of merest in the banking section, a furher improvement taking place at midlay, when several transactions were luted in the room at 60s, 3d in adinee of yesterday’s market. More vere wanted at the new price. New South Wales banks are firm, ales being recorded outside the call■oom at a new recent high level of C 50 ss. Hikurangi coals continue to .regiser a rising tendency, and all issues umped up several points to-day. VY'ellington Woollens are firmer with filers hard to locate. Electrolytic Zinc have moved up Is *d on the last recorded sale. In mining sellers of Komata Reefs ame in this morning, but failed to ind support even at a negligible price. A decidedly better tone is registered n th© market for Government bonds irid stocks, and considerable activity s registered in the section on higher cvels.
