PAKURANGA HUNT

MEET AT GREEN MOUNT STRONG HARES GIVE GOOD SPORT The meet of the Pakuranga Hunt at Gren Mount was well attended on Tuesday. The going generally wav good, and with several strong hares on the run. some splendid sport eventuated. The fields were heavy in place* and although several of the riders bit the dirt, no serious casualties resulted The first draw was made in the pr«»1 perty of Mr. J. Ros Barbour. Hall, Xeals and Cryer. and I circling ’ back, was overtaken in tl * Chinamen’s garden, where a kill was registered. The pack then visited the properties I of Messrs. T. Muir and Ross Ross, and alter one or two runs skirting thshores of the Tamaki River, the hare found shelter. Mr. C. Allen's farm was visited, and j a good run eventuated over the surrounding country, the quarry finding shelter in a culvert. Members of the hunt were afterwards entertained at afternoon tea at the homestead of Mr. ami Mrs. Chi Allen.
