THE MISSING LINK.— Herne Bay residents have discovered at least one missing link. It is a break of a few chains in Auckland’s waterfront roadway, and occurs between Fanshawe Street and Harbour Street. Were it not for this, Auckland would have a waterfront roadway practically from St. Heliers to Point Chevalier. A petition from the residents having had little effect, the Herne Bay area is considering forming a deputation hundreds strong to wait on the City Council.
