FOR “SOMEONE’S” BIRTHDAY

There are many delightful new ar | rivals in toyland, including a black and cream woolly dog, who will soon make friends with his small master or mis- j tress. He has a large black face, pink j paws, a pink mouth, and the inevitable ! little tip of red tongue. The last, but j not least attractwe thing about him, j is his tail. When you press it, he barks! Very fascinating, too, are fair-haired ! little girl dolls dressed in pale blue * and pink pyjama suits, all ready to > take to bed. They wear real stockings j of silk and the daintiest of black slippers with real soles and pompoms! ; An “original design” is embroidered ! on each pyjama jacket. Then there are chubby china dolls j clad in red silk stockinette bathing i costumes. They wear saucy little j ! bathing caps, complete with blue silk ! i pompoms, set at a rakish angle, and | i their white shoes are made of fluffy | wool, tied with a red ribbon. Even wet weather is catered for in | the latest thing in dolls’ rubber mackintoshes! They are made the same shape as Red Riding Hood’s cloak, in a variety of colours, trimmed with rubber of contrasting shade.
