PRINCE EDWARD

“SQUARE CROOKS”

Should a young man, in love with a beautiful girl, whose companionship has inspired him to “go straight” confess his past indescretions to the girl he hopes to make his wife, or should he let his past remain a closed book? This is .the problem that is answered in “Square Crooks,” now being shown at the Prince Edward Theatre. The story deals with the reformation of two young crooks, who, after many close shaves, decided that the shady path be abandoned for the straight and narrow one. Robert Armstrong and Johnny Mack Brown enact the two crooks. Adolph Menjou’s latest picture, “Serenade,” will also be shown. To-morrow evening there will be staged at the Prince Edward Theatre the tug-of-war championship of the City of Auckland. The first round will be a pull between City Parks and Southdown.
