ONE BODY FOOND

ISABELLA DE FRAINE WRECK SEARCH CONTINUING (From Our Own Correspondent.) KOHUKOHU, To-day. The search for bodies of the seamen drowned when the Isabella de Fraine turned turtle still continues, and 30 miles of the coast has been covered by different parties. Yesterday, the body of Amos Suvanto was washed up near Whangape Heads, 15 miles from the scene of the wreck. The body was brought -by launch to Rawene, and an inquest was opened this morning, and adjourned. The burial will take place at Rawene tomorrow. Flotsam continues to be washed in from the wreck, and the drifting hull of the schooner was sighted yesterday. TRIBUTE TO DEAD When the steamer Arapawa this morning passed the place where the schooner sank, a wreath from the Merchant Service Guild and the Institute of Engineers was dropped overboard. It was the last tribute from comrades to the men who had died. HERALD INQUIRY WRECK AT FLAT ROCK Captain T. Atwood, superintendent of the mercantile marine, opened a preliminary inquiry yesterday into the loss of the scow Herald at Flat Rock on Saturday morning. The report has been sent to the Marine Department, which will decide whether a nautical inquiry will be necessary. The Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society, Dunedin, has been asked for a small relief grant for the crew.
