LYRIC
NEW PROGRAMME TO-MORROW The screen story based on the beautiful old song, “Sally in Our Alley,” will be shown for the last time at the Lyric Theatre this evening. Commencing to-morrow the Lyric will present “The Desert Woman,”
starring Irene Rich. To the accompaniment of the primitive elements of the desert, Irene Rich depicts the terrific battle of the two most powerful kinds of love which may possess a woman’s being. These are mate love and mother love. She is seen as a woman who has
left the luxurious, sheltered life of London society to become the wife of the commandant of an isolated outpost in British India.
The second attraction will be “Reckless Speed,” featuring Frank Merrill, the famous Hercules of motion pictures, in a thrilling society comedydrama.
